What Has H2O Been Doing this Summer?

It's been a unique summer for H2O Student Ministries

Here are a few highlights:

We had a blast of a movie night getting some new "inside joke" material from Brian Reagan and Hoodwinked

Here's one example:

Then there were the weeks at Camp Kerr Lake. It was great serving alongside so many of the students from H2O during these weeks. Thanks Drew, Nathan, Josh, Evan, Bailey, Paige, Chelsea and Lora for getting involved with the Lord's work at CKL!

-G-O-O-D, Our God Is (and later learning we could just sing Evan's name to this, because that's what his name means...God is Good)
-"Hurry up, my stem is killing me"
-"I ain't got no neck"
-Giant water slides and Giant grill fires
-A-Frame tents (some that worked and some...not so much!)
-Tether-ball (and Napoleon, because they just go together)
-Watermelon Football
-A Bible study MEAL plan (Main Idea, Example to Follow, Attitude Check, Lessons to Exercise)
-And 3 weeks worth of CHAMPs (Character, Hard Work, Attitude, Motivation and Perseverance)

A great two days in Williamsburg at Water Country and Busch Gardens to wrap up the camp season:
-Free falling while trying to catch a breath in the most terrifying water ride I've every been on...
-The mutual trust that is Water Country USA
-Wrestling all the way around HubbaHubba Highway, and the lifeguards didn't seem to care, which worries me a bit!
-Making eye contact...3 times!
-Too much food
-A stolen cheeseburger (Josh, I'm sure you ate it while watching that guy do the high dive)
-Coffee and Despicable Me in the King Sized bed with all the guys
-Dark Kastle (Worst ride experience EVER!-enough said!)
-Sitting on the end of the front of the Griffin (best roller coaster experience EVER!)
-Do you want to ride the Loch Ness Monster...again...
-How many times did we walk around that park???
-Caught in a storm...but we finally made it home!

Enjoying Andy Gullahorn and Jill Phillips as they sang to us in Powhatan, VA

It's been a great summer...and there's still a bit more to come!

"Not a Fan" Bible study series starts this week
Durham Bulls Baseball Game August 4
Habitat For Humanity ReStore project August 6
Frankie's Fun Park Back to School Bash August 27
The Truth Project-starting in September

So, invite your friends, let your neighbors know, that they need to come to H2O!
(ok, so that rhymed...I'm sorry...)
